Terror watch: Shame on Antifa’s Apologists

Nazi KKK Antifa

The hard left’s ideology isn’t popular at the ballot box, “so they must resort to caustic measures of their own to literally beat the right,” warns Raheem Kassam at Human Events.

Witness the group Antifa, which over the weekend physically assaulted the journalist Andy Ngo in Portland, Ore., sending him to the hospital.

Despite Antifa’s history of violence, “Democratic candidates, their fellow travelers in the media and international politicians of the left have long attempted to defend” the group — from former Rep. Keith Ellison, “who endorsed the Antifa handbook which encourages ‘militant’ behavior,” to CNN’s Don Lemon and The Nation magazine’s Natasha Lennard, who’ve both offered apologia.

“Given what happened to Ngo,” writes Kassam, “it is time they were all shamed.”

One of the victims, identified by commentator and journalist Michelle Malkin as John Blum, suffered a bloodied face after he was beaten with a crowbar. The other man, identified as Adam Kelly, had his head split open by criminal Antifa members, suffering a concussion; he needed 25 stitches.

Blum and Kelly were in Pioneer Courthouse Square to attend a demonstration for the “Him Too” movement, which purports to raise awareness for male sexual assault victims and men falsely accused of sex crimes. The men apparently stepped into the Antifa chaos trying to “help a gay man in a sun dress being chased down the street,” according to Malkin.

“While John was being pummeled by the mob in the center, Adam was struck in the head with nunchucks, metal water bottles, some sort of metal rod, and fists,” Malkin reported on Sunday. “John was sprayed with mace and blinded. He was led away as blood dripped down his face, then dragged to a sidewalk. Another observer notes that one of Adam’s attackers appears to wield something like a sock and padlock.”

According to Human Events writer Ian Miles Cheong, Rose City Antifa, a group which helped organize the violent showing on Saturday, celebrated their violence and asked for bail money for the arrested suspects. As The Daily Wire reported on Sunday, at least three Antifa members — two females and one male in their early 20s — were cuffed and arrested for their alleged antics.

“Rose City Antifa the group of anarchist militants responsible for organizing Saturday’s protest in Portland where Andy Ngo was assaulted, has posts celebrating his attack, and another begging for cash to pay the bail money for members who were arrested for violence,” wrote Cheong.

As noted by Cheong, journalist Andy Ngo was also viscously assaulted and robbed while covering the demonstrations on Saturday. In a video posted online, Ngo was kicked, punched, and had milkshakes thrown on him by the left-wing thugs. According to Portland Police, some of the milkshakes hurled by Antifa reportedly contained quick-dry cement. The Quillette editor suffered a brain hemorrhage, among other injuries, Ngo’s lawyer said.

Attorney Harmeet K. Dhillon, who is representing Ngo, all but promised a lawsuitagainst Antifa early Monday morning via Twitter. “Goodnight everyone except Antifa criminals who I plan to sue into oblivion and then sow salt into their yoga studios and avocado toast stands until nothing grows there, not even the glimmer of a violent criminal conspiracy aided by the effete impotence of a cowed city government,” she said.

Antifa Activist facing assault charges on U.S. Marines is tied to DNC

Antifa leader Joseph Alcoff

What a difference a year made for Joseph Alcoff.

On Monday, the 37-year-old has a court date in connection with charges he’s facing in Philadelphia that include aggravated assault and ethnic intimidation for allegedly being part of an Antifa mob in November that attacked two Marines, Alejandro Godinez and Luis Torres, both Hispanic. Alcoff and two others charged in the attack have pleaded not guilty.

But while Democratic officials are distancing themselves from Alcoff now, until recently he was a well-connected, aspiring political player in Washington who may have even had a hand in key policy proposals.

His endorsement apparently mattered when several congressional Democrats in February 2018 issued press releases with his quote backing their bill on regulating payday lenders.

As the payday campaign manager for the liberal group Americans for Financial Reform, Alcoff participated in congressional Democratic press conferences, was a guest on a House Democratic podcast and met with senior officials at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from 2016 through 2018.

He was also pictured with now-House Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters, D-Calif., and ranking Democrat on the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio. Both committees oversee financial regulatory policies Alcoff was advocating.

Alcoff met with then CFPB Director Richard Cordray and other senior CFPB officials on April 2016, again in March 2017 and a third time in May 2017, as first reported by the Washington Free Beacon.

During this time, he reportedly was an Antifa leader in Washington. Alcoff’s former employer had little to say about the matter.

“As of December, Mr. Alcoff no longer works for AFR,” Carter Dougherty, spokesman for Americans for Financial Reform, told Fox News in an email.

Dougherty didn’t answer whether Alcoff had been fired or resigned. He also didn’t answer whether the organization was aware of Alcoff’s associations during his employment.

Alcoff was reportedly also an organizer for Smash Racism DC, the group responsible for gathering and shouting threats outside the home of Fox News host Tucker Carlson in November and for heckling Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife Heidi at a Washington restaurant in September. Reports have not said Alcoff was directly involved in either incident; only that he was associated with the group.

Democrats are hardly eager to be associated with Alcoff now. Most spokespersons for Democratic members of Congress did not respond to inquiries from Fox News, or distanced themselves from Alcoff.

In one appearance, Alcoff dressed up as “Lenny the Loan Shark” at an event last Marchheld outside the CFPB headquarters, which featured Rep. Don Beyer, D-Va.

“The congressman has never interacted with him nor has he taken any financial policy advice from him. Their names have appeared on the same piece of paper,” Beyer spokesman Aaron Fritschner told Fox News. “He appeared at the same press conference, but they didn’t speak to each other. This person was literally wearing a shark outfit.”

In the February 2018 press statement, House and Senate Democrats co-sponsoring the Stopping Abuse and Fraud in Electronic (SAFE) Lending Act, which boosted regulation on payday lenders, issued versions of a press release, most including the Alcoff quote.

“The Consumer Bureau and Congress have in the past understood the way that payday lenders structure loans to catch Americans in a cycle of debt with exorbitant interest rates,” Alcoff said in the press releases. “It is unfortunate that some in Washington would rather open the loan shark gates than continue to think about sensible borrower protections. The SAFE Lending Act would put Washington back on track to stop the debt trap.”

In August, Alcoff was a guest on the House Democrats’ Joint Economic Committee podcast, criticizing the decline of the CFPB under the Trump administration.

“It’s been an incredible kind of erosion [Trump administration actions] recently, but these are really, really important basic functions [CFPB’s mission] that people across the country should be able to look to Washington and expect,” Alcoff said on the podcast.

In connection with the subsequent attack in Philadelphia, the two Hispanic Marines said the Antifa mob of about 10 or 12 attackers shouted racial slurs during the beating. Only three from the mob were identified and arrested. The attack happened at the same time as a right-wing rally in Philadelphia, which Antifa showed up to protest. The Marines who were assaulted said they were not even aware of the rally.

“On one side, you have the Proud Boys, a racist group of Nazi thugs. On the other side, you have anti-racist activists,” Alcoff’s lawyer Michael Coard told Philadelphia Magazine. “Unfortunately, in the mix, there were two Marines who were caught up in the whole thing as innocent bystanders.”

Coard, an African American activist in Philadelphia, also told the magazine regarding the alleged slurs, “The question that I have for the D.A.’s office and the police is this: Does anybody think that I, Michael Coard, would represent a racist? … I would never represent a racist. In fact, if I believed that he was a racist, I would prosecute him myself.”

DISGRACEFUL! Antifa To 9/11 Widow: ‘Your Husband Should F–king Rot In The Grave’

Dale Yeager Blog Antifa

An Antifa protester, verbally accosted a woman during protests over the weekend in Portland, Oregon, telling her that her deceased husband should “rot in the grave.”

“Why are you trying to block me?” the man yells at the woman. “I’m f–king trying to walk here.”

“Because I obey traffic signals,” the woman responded.

“You’re a f–king snarky, little f–king idiot,” the man shot back. “So shut the f–k up.”

“Try somethin, b–ch,” the woman responded.

“I’m not, I’m not going to punch you, I’m not like your husband, I’m not going to punch you,” the man replied.

“I’m not married,” the woman answered.

“I’m not like your boyfriend or your cop boyfriend who is going to f–king knock you out, so don’t worry,” the man said.

The woman turned around and pointed at her NYPD hat, saying, “My husband died on 9/11.”

“Good for him,” the man responded. “Good, good. NYPD was a bunch of sodomizers, f–king sodomizing immigrants with their bully sticks.”

“So yeah, your husband, should probably f–king rot in the grave.”

Portland Antifa Violence Against Senior Citizens

Antifa actually posted these videos of themselves attacking any motorists that came into their (illegal) protest area as shown. Their tweet matter-of-factly stated that they chased after and attacked the gentleman in his car in “self-defense”. You cannot make this up.

You’d think the antifas would have more self-awareness than to post such things but no, presumably the Open Society Foundation paychecks are sweet enough that these degenerates felt secure enough to come out block traffic and flaunt anti-white rhetoric.

THE DISGRACE OF DARTMOUTH : Mark Bray Interview “Antifa: the Anti-Fascist Handbook”

Mark Bray on the Role of the Antifa Movement

Mark Bray talked about his book on the “antifa” movement, Antifa: the Anti-Fascist Handbook and the movement’s role in recent protests. “Antifa” is an abbreviation for “anti-fascists” and refers to anti-fascist groups and individuals whose political beliefs tend to be more liberal than the Democratic Party as a whole and who are focused on fighting “far-right” ideology.

What do we now see? The Last Stages of Cultural Marxism

The American common sense public, that is the majority of non ideological citizens that just want to raise a family and/or live constructive lives, looks with astonishment at the so called left and what they perceive as their peculiar and or absurd ideas, including political correctness and a bevy of artificial grievances.

Instinctively they reject them and wonder how they came to gain such prominence. If you are doing your job you are not interested in terms such as Cultural Marxism and you can’t be blamed. It’s not a theme for common sense people but it has infected the American universities and found its way into societal mores and public policy. That is why you should know something about it. We will try to give you a succinct review of several decades of the history of this movement because one of its tenets is to go slow and unnoticed until the proper time arrives.

It started with Antonio Gramsci an Italian communist who in the 1920s returned from a visit to Stalin’s Russia convinced of two things. The proletarian revolution had never taken hold in the west or in Russia for that matter, and that soviet methods were not going to succeed in Italy.

Why? Because the proletarian class believed in patriotism, religion and the family. Patriotism defended the concept of nation state while communism wanted a world without frontiers united under one idea and one rule. Religion posited the concept of an after life and opposed communism’s atheistic earthly paradise. The family was the cradle where children learned patriotism, religion and respect for paternal authority. Communism wanted control of the children’s minds. They were the future new men and women.

For Gramsci these institutions produce “hegemony”. It is in this way, said Gramsci, that the ruling class maintains societal control. Marxist success requires a radical change of ideas and values.

Mussolini put Gramsci in jail where he died in 1937 but not before he had written 3,000 pages of essays and developed his theory of cultural hegemony. To turn the culture around he proposed several things the most important being:

a) The organic intellectual who would grow and work with the neighborhood and indoctrinate it. The community organizer of Saul Alinsky is simply its American version.

b) University intellectuals were to be recruited.

c) Figures of influence such as sportsmen, artists, scientists were to be gained for the cause even if they did not fully comprehend the doctrine and its political ramifications. A simple spousal of some of the ideas would be sufficient. That is why you see so many Hollywood figures and the like talking with great pomposity about topics way beyond their sphere of competence.

d) Infiltrate the churches and get them to support selected causes.

e) Infiltrate the judiciary through ideas planted at the university level and through peer review papers. Eventually some of the professionals so formed would gain access to judgeships.

All of this must be done with patience and as subtly as possible because otherwise a counter revolution would be provoked. When the time comes and power centers fall under Marxist control then the clenched fist can be shown.

ALERT Radical Leftist – Redneck Revolt Says It Aims To Protect Minorities, Promote Social Justice — With Guns

Redneck Revolt

A far-left militant group calling itself the Redneck Revolt says it aims to put “the red back in redneck” – “red” as in communist red – and use aggressive tactics to promote social justice and protects minorities. Armed members of Redneck Revolt can often be seen providing protection to minority groups such as Black Lives Matter and to other left-leaning groups conducting marches and demonstrations. Redneck Revolt insists that the group should not be compared to another leftist militant group — the Anti-fa group. Members of Redneck Revolt explain the difference as mainly one of tactics: Anti-fa are willing to engage in property destruction, cover their faces in “black bloc,” and occasionally punch Nazis on the street. “We don’t do that,” a member of Redneck Revolt said firmly. “We do everything within the law.”

The Independent reports that armed members of Redneck Revolt can often be seen providing protection to minority groups such as Black Lives Matter and to other left-leaning groups conducting marches and demonstrations.

Redneck Revolt was founded in 2016 in Kansas and Colorado, and now claims to have forty-five regional branches in thirty states.

The group distinguishes itself from more run-of-the-mill liberal groups by advocating the right to bear arms.

“Charity is the lowest rung of what we do,” one member of the group told the Independent. “What we want to do is help people organize themselves – reorganize the conditions of their lives, so they don’t have to depend on someone else for a meal.”

This is why the group encourages its members to own gun, and go to firing ranges to learn how to use the arms effectively.

The groups says that it was established in order to counter the rise in extremist rhetoric, violence, and confrontational tactics used by white supremacist groups.

“The current political environment has seen armed militias intimidating people as they go into their mosques to pray, violent white nationalists attacking people in the street, Nazis openly calling for genocide all across the country, and political wavering around whether white nationalism is a defensible political ideology,” the group said in a press release sent to Newsweek.

“Redneck Revolt members recognize how real the threats of violence have become because of the friends and loved ones they’ve already lost, and they organize in community defense as both an obligation and a commitment to defend each other.”

Newsweeknotes that the group also aims to bring members of the working class together across racial divides. The group offers various social services such as clothing drives, potlucks, farming and gardening, and providing training in safety and survival.

“[Redneck Revolt] is a pro-worker, anti-racist organization that focuses on working class liberation from the oppressive systems which dominate our lives,” the group said.

The group also says that its members come from a variety of political ideologies, including libertarians, anarchists, communists, and independents — but that all members agree on the goal: countering the growth of white supremacist movements and building solidarity among diverse members of the working class and the poor.

In a membership recruitment letter the group sends to potential members, it urges working-class white people to consider the minorities who work beside them and reflect on their shared interests.

The letter urges working-class white people to “look around” and wonder: “Who lives in the houses or trailers in the same neighborhoods as us? Who works next to us in the factories, or cooks alongside us at the restaurants?”

“It sure as hell isn’t rich white people,” the letter continues. “It’s Brown people, Black people, and other working-class white people. They are the ones that are in similar situations to us, living paycheck to paycheck, stretching to feed their families like we do. So why then would we view them as so different from us that we literally view them as our enemies?”

“Redneck Revolt believes that real working-class solidarity will come from working alongside each other in person and in our everyday lives, not in the sterile conversations of privilege in college classrooms, or in the phony hand-wringing of politicians,” the recruitment letter says.

Recruiters who work for Redneck Revolt show up at events and venues which may attract white working-class people, but which are typically associated with populist, white nationalist movements and causes: gun shows, firing ranges, state fairs, Nascar races, and cattle shows.

“We focus on counter-recruitment of other working-class people against white supremacist and white nationalist organizations, through direct outreach in places where working-class folks are already being targeted,” the group told Newsweek.

The Suffolk County branch
The Independent has just published a lengthy story on the Suffolk County, New York, branch of Redneck Revolt.

The Suffolk County branch was founded this April, as an offshoot of a leftist reading group at Stony Brook University. Many of the reading group members were Bernie Sanders supporters.

The first act of the branch was to start the community food garden, the yields of which they donated to a local school and the anti-violence organization Food Not Bombs. In an early-December meeting, the group planned how they would give back during the holiday season. They had already started organizing a drive to collect winter coats for the homeless. At this meeting, they decided to hand out the coats themselves, rather than giving them to a charity to distribute.

“Take the charity party out and put the solidarity in!” one member declared.

Members of Redneck Revolt also came to Charlottesville – and they came armed. Their presence at the rally made national news, including a Fox News headline warning: “The Left has gun-toting militias of its own.”

But Redneck Revolt claims it did not come to Charlottesville seeking confrontation. According to a blog post on the group’s website, Redneck Revolt members came to offer protection for the community and show opposition to white supremacy.
